Many of you I have had the pleasure of meeting on other online forums and/or at shows and such. For those of you I have yet to meet let me introduce myself:
My name is Debby (Wilson) Beaman. Although I do not carry the name "Wilson" anymore, I still have the Wilson DNA! I proudly am the daughter of David and Sheryl Wilson (President of Wilson Audio Specialties, Inc.). (I am the youngest of 4, and the only daughter. One of my brothers, Daryl, works with me at Wilson Audio and is WA's R&D's Product Manger)
There is no adequate way for me to describe to people my deep passion for Wilson Audio products. Some might see this as being just because I am the daughter of David and Sheryl Wilson, and that I grew up around Wilson Audio. I will admit that being around Wilson Audio my entire life might play into this equation. However, it is not just that. As most of you know, I worked at Wilson Audio for several years in a number of different areas of Wilson Audio.
As a child, I was happy to help by twisting wires in our garage and then in Wilson's first small warehouse in California (See photos below). A few years after we moved to Utah (during my high school years), I worked in both the paint shop and in production over my summer breaks. After high school, I worked in production, the fabrication shop, and also helped compile Wilson’s data base for all products shipped up to that time. I would also lend a helping hand to other departments when needed - answering phones, helping in inventory and in shipping. I knew the “in's and out's” of what it took to build the products. This was all the factory side, though. I always wanted to see and understand the customer side (everything after the crates left Wilson Audio). At times, as I finished a pair of Puppy's, Maxx's, X-1's, etc, I would sometimes ask myself "I wonder who is getting these?" or "What will these look like in a customer’s room or theater?"
In 2010, I proposed the idea of doing a Wilson Audio Facebook page to which they agreed to let me do. Since I started Wilson Audio's Facebook page, one of my favorite things to see is photos of those that own Wilson Audio, and the set-up they have with their Wilson systems. Not only seeing where they are, but also hearing people's "Wilson stories". I started participating on only a couple forums, and have enjoyed hearing so many people's stores. I love hearing from people that share the same love and passion that I do for Wilson Audio. Not just for the products, but for the people at Wilson Audio as well.
It brings me great satisfaction that so many people love and enjoy the products that I had the pleasure of building so many years ago. I look forward to getting to know more of you (Wilson owner or not!)
Thank you all for the warm welcome I received in the Wilson Audio portion of this forum. If you want to chat, you know where on the forum I will be
Happy Listening!

Ever wonder where the name WATT came from (WATT meaning "Wilson Audio Tiny Tot") - now you know! It was the name of the preschool my brothers and I all attended and loved so much!

Daryl and I helping our father twist wires in our garage as kids.

I am so proud of what my parents have built, and take a lot of pride in working with them here at Wilson Audio!

Always happy to help support my audio friends and their sites. Let me know when AudioShark gets some T-shirts!
