Hi everyone,

Socfan12 suggested that I join after we had some discussions on audio equipment. I love music and movies and see the equipment as the means to an end, not the end itself. I hate it when someone says, “Come over and listen to my new speakers.” I want to listen to music and experience movies. It might seem contradictory when seeing the equipment below, but, until recently I considered Home Theater to be an ad on to my 2 channel system!!!!

When I bought my house, 20 years ago, there was no such thing as Home Theatre, so I built a stereo room, a slowly added on.

I did have a big projection TV but that killed the sound because it was between the two speakers. That’s why I went to a front projector and screen.

The big switch, and a traumatic one, was just two months ago. I got the Krell 707 3D Surround System, with, with its pre-amp settings, sounded every bit as good, and it some ways better, as my Mark Levinson 32. It was difficult, but I no longer needed the pre amp and I sold it. So, for the first time, a surround sound unit is doing everything.

I am glad to see a few people her with Revel speakers, we can tlak about that

The Krell Cypher and SVS sub-woofers are brand new and not even installed yet (they will be by Wednesday, I need a bit of help moving things) so they are not in the pictures I hope to put up.

This is great hobby and I love sharing information, both getting and giving. For example, having trouble with my Thiel sub-woofer, many people (on another site) suggested the SVS. But I have had both good and bad result with several items and would NOT want to see people go through the same things that were bad, and alert them to what is good.

Welcome to AS, Lefisc! Glad you joined! We're pretty much on a first name basis here, so I leave it up to you to share that.;)

I 'found' Lefisc while searching for some krell gear. I joined the HT forum he was on just to PM him. Next thing I know, we're sharing emails and found we may have similar interests. He gave me a lot of good insight on some gear I was considering and invited him to join our great forum!

Welcome again, Lefisc!!:hi:
