can you explain what you mean about the dip at 100hz?

for example:
AVM MA.82 it's very powerful amp but see what the manufacture said about under 2 ohm load:

"If you use the OVATION SA8.2 in 115V-VERSION: The minimum allowable speaker impedance is 2 Ohms. Speakers with values below that can cause the OVATION MA8.2 to draw too much
current from mains. This can blow the fuses inside the unit or the fuse of your wall outlet.


Connect the power cable of each OVATION MA8.2 to a separate wall outlet. Do NOT use a
multiple outlet strip. This will lead to poor performance at high listening levels and can cause
damage to the outlet strip"
 
Just because a speaker dips to 2 ohms doesn't make it a 2 ohm speaker. Dips are not uncommon and nothing to worry about for 90% of the amps out there.

All the amps we have previously mentioned wouldn't break a sweat.

FWIW - my speakers dip to 1.8 ohms.

Now, my little JOB amp may struggle, but all my other amps wouldn't.

Accuphase amps are probably the best (or one of the best) for tough loads. If you like the look and sound (I love it), then I think you've found your magic.

I would do a Accuphase 6100/2450 combo and be done! Great build. Great sound. Handles 1ohm loads with ease and has a reputation of being paired with your speakers. Moreover, you can audition the combo at David's.
 
The spec's on the Maestros say they are 4 ohm and can drop to 3 ohm minimum. I guess that could be wrong though. I always thought they were an 8 ohm speaker, and I own a pair. So I'm not sure. The Accuphaae will be stable to a 1ohm load. A Class A 65 watt stereo would probably work well.
 
Sorry Mike, I didn't realize that you had posted that. My post took about an hour because I ate supper between the start and finish of it.
 
The spec's show that you could plug both in one 20 amp circuit but two would be best. I will plug both of mine into one plug tomorrow and see if the performance is ok.
 
1 20 amp circuit is 2200-2400 watts. You want to calculate using just 80% of that which would give you 1700-1900 watts. The A200's draw 360 watts continuous each amp. Two on one dedicated should be fine. I would turn one on at a time with about a 10 second time period between the two. They will pull more watts on power up than during operation.

never dealt with electricity
i don't have dedicated line , i just plug the Stock Ac cable to regular wall plate.
my Pass Labs X350.5 also a big and very heavy amp.
 
i went to CES 2014
the room i liked the most (even more then the Focal Grande) it's the Magico Room
Magico S3 , Vitus , DCS , Synergy research cables , Aurender music server (i'm not sure what models of Amp and pre)

great Bass , Realism , details !

i returned home disappointing :(

pelo911 - why haven't you gone to meet David? Like you, he's in Texas and has some of the gear you like and some other stuff you can hear. System synergy is everything. Maybe the sound that best agrees with you is Magico? David has Magico S1, S5 now and S3's on the way.
 
Anybody mentioned the Audia Flight ? I might late for party however When I listened with FM Utopia with STRUMENTO N°4 stereo power amplifier

It was superb.

how can you describe the Magico S3 compare the Maestro? (if you had a chance to hear both)

I have heard both. I sold my $120,000 Aida's and bought $50,000 Alexia's. I'm MUCH happier.

since you heard both?

The Focal tweeter can be a little sharp at times. I never found the Magico tweeter sharp. And yes, you do need to go see David. A dealer like David can really help you narrow in on a system instead of spinning your wheels. He has Focal, Magico, Raidho, etc. you can listen to several brands of speakers and electronics and cables!

Now we are getting into taste. For my taste the Focal tweeters are the most revealing in the world. I would never trade that in for a less revealing soft dome. It is not without reason that Wilson relied on the Focal titanium inverted dome tweeters (and those were clearly sharper than the new Beryllium).
