Mike “Audioshark Founder/Admin” had invited a few of us true audiophiles over for a listening session to his current main dedicated 2CH setup with the wonderful Alexia's yesterday. Everyone was just VERY much enjoying what they were hearing including me for sure! The pictures of his room does not do justice, you have to see it in person, it is a VERY good dedicated listening room and will be even better when he places some bass traps to cure a slight bass overhang which many of us have experienced in our own rooms before.
I would like to say the sound I was hearing was just Very musical and relaxing while still possess the details to allow you to truly enjoy the decay of the cymbals, playing of the piano keys. The vocals were spot on with correct realistic tones for both male and female vocalist. The brass section sounded very romantic with a touch of soul. Pluck of the guitar strings were projected in a way you swear you could feel the strings vibrate. The bass section has a very nice tonality to it and sounded realistic but for my personal taste I would like a little bit tighter forceful punch but I think due to tub amps you may not get that like you would with SS amps. I’ve always experienced tube amps to be a little soft on bass. I would say it possess that World Class play back magic that will even get better as time goes on. WOW, what a enjoyment it was!!!
Thank you for the invite Mike!!!
