Hmm, since it seems I still am able to access here, I'll go ahead and ask. With the demise of MOG coming 01/21/14, it has changed the game for me. (Granted, I do prefer CD and vinyl, so it's not like streaming was my only source, but it was great for research and discovery). I am now looking for an A/V receiver at 100wpc or more that does not have streaming ability. I would prefer a A/V receiver built on the focus of sound rather than features now whether the features are needed or not. Does anyone know of any manufactures that make A/V receivers without streaming ability or would I have to go separates? (Nothing at all against separates, but I can't afford to go that route).

Eric, are you looking for stereo or multi channel ?

Oops! Sorry, that would help wouldn't it....multichannel please (5.1 or 5.0 is all I need, but higher is ok as the extra power would be distributed to the speakers I have).

I just bought an Anthem AV receiver from David. Not many bells and whistles but has good sound. He is DAV on the forum , he carries multiple brands and is a great guy. Send him a PM.

Just read the news about beats taking over. If you're a current subscriber to Mog (like me), do you just switch over to Beats automatically?

I am and therein lies the problem. Paying $5 per month for PC & Squeezebox use. I would not mind paying $10 per month if MOG stayed the same and I could use my Squeezebox, but that isn't going to happen. Anyone who thinks Beats will not make any changes such as adding EQ or lowering the bitrate or make huge cuts to the catalog or even have a way of calling up what "you" want to hear or will better MOG is dreaming. There is also some question as to whether it will be available for PC. Why would I want to pay $10 per month for something I can't use? Nope, give me my CDs, Vinyl and 30 second clips on amazon and it's all that is needed without MOG. I figure I have enough music and don't need to explore any further.

Oh god! It's even worse!!!! All the most evil elements and persons are involved with it. Not only do I not want it, I'm hoping there is a campaign against it that I can join!!!!!
The worst of the worst: Beats, Dr Dre, AT&T, Clear Channel! Are you kidding me?!!! Clear Channel?!! They took out the last of the half-way decent FM stations in my area long ago!! I also have knowledge of them since I was in radio for a time. They dictate everything right down to telling you what 10 to 16 songs to play over and over and over, no deviation allowed. They also go so far as to tell you to cut the songs short to a certain time frame and make them all the same length (average of 2:30 because according to their data that is the attention span of every human on earth when it comes to music (I thought that archaic rule went out in the 60s) If your air talent, you also MUST talk over the first 20 to 30 seconds of a song advertising them or one of their sponsors every third song played. They are pure evil!
Trent Reznor as a musician should have nothing to do with this bunch. I guess he's stupid or something. He obviously doesn't know what good sound is.
I can only imagine what will go on with Beats...experts in destruction.

Ok, went a bit off topic...or a lot off topic. Back to the matter at hand: A/V Receivers that do not stream
