darTZeel CTH-8550 integrated amplifier ...

I'm with you there Joe. Too bad it's 20K. :(

With 200 wpc you could pair it up with just about any speaker around. I bet it would sound lovely with some Wilson's...

OMG!

I think you are right.

You have impeccable taste, Joe!

I would love an integrated for my bedroom, but at $20k, don't think it will be this one, LOL!:p

The Playback can use the bnc inputs on the Dart gear. Makes a big difference.

I have listened to it on several occasions at various places. Paired with various Verity Audio speaker, but also with panels which I do not remember the brand.
Compared on it the PlayBack Designs MPS3 CD player to an old Linn Ikemi. To my big surprise, I preferred the tone of the Ikemi over the extreme resolution of the Playback.
But what was obvious with the Dart was the extreme neutrality and liquid character of the sound.
A true High End component which actually adds neither removes nothing to the source and the speakers.
Would love to try it on my systems.

Joe,

Don't bother with the integrated if you have the separates. It is good for its price range and function but your combo is better.

Thanks Howie,

It's a great looking piece and now that I do have the combo, and loving it, I don't have a "need" for the integrated. If I ever feel the need to downsize, this is on my short list.

If you ever need to downsize I will be waiting :exciting:

Congratulations Keith. Can't wait for more details.

Congrats Keith!

I am keeping an eye on the new LHC-208 with the on-board DAC which is designed by Andreas Koch of Playback Designs when it comes out in the summer. At $13K with the DAC could be a nice one-box solution and I can get rid of 3 boxes (Ref 110, Ref 3 and Ref CD 7) and replace with one clean box (I just wish they had a more neutral color scheme): http://audioshark.org/dartzeel-49/dartzeel-lhc-208-a-3986.html

Cyril- the 8550 replaced 5 boxes in my system including monoblocks, preamp w/ separate power supply, and phono pre. Since you have a table, i would recommend the 8550.
