Been reading through some old post and reply's I'm new to posting on forums I'm sure Y'all knew dat...Is or was Golucid for real or did I get conned reading Golucid's posts

David (Golucid) is a great guy, but he left all forums - ALL FORUMS - because of a few individuals (so he told me privately). I still talk to him and he's doing well. I certainly miss his enthusiasm!

I never met Golucid or spoke to him but he seemed to me to be trying to work things out in his own way. What made you think or what some one else wrote think he was a con. I never got that vibe from his posts . As far as I know he is a good guy.

I've tried - trust me. It just gets him upset again. I'll continue to try to persuade him.

And for the record, his enthusiasm is even more contagious when you talk to him on the phone.

I hate when people drop out because of other cyber idiots hassling them. He is not the first one to drop from here for similar issues. On the flip side, it's a shame that people even let it bother them and can't just grow a thicker skin.

I don't even own a turntable or albums anymore but found all of David's Record Cleaning testing and info very intersting.

I've already emailed him again this morning. He's in CA, so its early.

Your form your rules but what about if you get named as being someone who drove out or help drive out say 3 members you are out. After warnings and all that. Just a thought, very few members post as much as David did and his posts were a good read and food for thought.

Who ever drove him away did not do the form a favour IMO Not sure David was right all the time but who is other than a small few at WBF

That's a good idea, but let's keep in mind that David cancelled his participation on all forums, not just something that was said here or somewhere else.

I think we want to ensure we all respect one another and no one leaves because of someone else. But that being said, hopefully we all have some degree of thick skin and not just get upset because someone doesn't like your speaker cables or something.

I have a much higher degree of tolerance for members who regularly participate and may have had a bad day rather than those that just jump on when they have something to sell like what happened today...ahem.... If you're going to use the forum to sell your used gear, then you should at least make an attempt to occasionally contribute. Many of you know that's a pet peeve of mine.

But back to David, I had a great chat with David today and he's doing well, keeping busy and he promised me he would be back on AS. I personally miss his enthusiasm and dedication to perfection.

I also miss David. He was the opposite of myself, I don't post enough and David posted all the time. He is much more interesting than me.

Hi AS members...I guess I have returned.

First, Mike and I are good casual friends. We talk on the phone from time to time as well as email. He and I have remained friends since I signed off. As all of you know, Mike is naturally a kewl dude.

Over the months he has asked me to come back to the forum and I was resolute I would not be on any forums. But he is a friend and he really reached out to me today reconsider and because he rocks, I said...with a heavy sigh...'ok'.

To his comments about my departure. I affirm Mike. He is correct and because we are friends -- he would know better than anyone actually...[because I never told anyone my reasons] that I did not leave because of a 'someone' 'something said' or other juvenile reasons. I have my own reasons why I reduced my online time - and it's been a good period of downtime to not be electronically connected. My reasoning for 'tuning out - no pun' is simple and fairly uneventful...really.

Oh, before I post this message... hey Garth!
