Sorry if this is covered elsewhere, could not find it.....

Does anyone know:

- when will N10 be released?
- How much onboard storage? MAX amount?
- price point?

thx,

Axpona info was June/July time frame (moved back from March). Larger cache drive 240gb. Probably 4tb mechanical drives for storage, but not finalized yet. Price TBD my best guess is starting at +/- 8k ish

ok, thanks, and now I'm confused 'cuz i thought the X100L with 12 TB was about $3500 ( or maybe 3800, can't remember ) so why would I want the N10 for 8K? ( rhetorical question)

B Thomas is correct.

The N10 will have a much more advanced power supply as well as all the usual digital outs. The X100L while being fantastic only has USB and will not sound as good. Do I use one one and love it, yes.

It's not even out...and already, it sounds better than the X100L? C'mon guys

I get what you are saying Chris, but all I am saying is it should sound better as it is technically better, just like the N100 is touch better sounding than the X100.

Scheduled availability of the N10 is the end of June. It will have 4TB internal storage and a 240GB SSD caching drive and will retail for $7999.

One will be on demonstration at THE Show Newport at the end of this month.

The N10 as far as I understand is a replacement for the W10 . You can run an A-B of the X100L vs the W10. I did . The W10 is better in every way. Ergo - I doubt whether Aurender would go to the trouble of producing a poorer sonic replacement, so an assumption of improvement would be logical.

There is no such thing as a W10. Here is what I think you meant to say:

Yes, the N10 replaces the S10, which has been discontinued.

Do we know this to be true... has this been tested?

As an N100 owner I would like to think it was , but have never seen a direct SQ comparison made before.

:-)

I shure hope we get to hear the N10 at the Munich show next week, and not just just a dry demo unit.

According to Aurender's website they will be in Halle 4 E17. They didn't say whether the N10 will be on demonstration, but there's a fair chance.

And maybe get a comparison/feedback with the N100H...
( as if I wasn't confused enough already....)

Aurender N10

The N10 seems to be very close to what I am looking for when adding an internal 4 TB HDD. The only thing lacking is a slot for loading your silver disc' to be read to the hard drive. Earlier I asked Aurender about this and in their opinion such a solution would deteriorate the SQ of the product. And also have separate computer doing the ripping and uploading meant you can choose what ever software you prefer for the job. Fair enough.

Hi Rick

You appear to be an all-digital system - what's your storage system like that feeds the BDP-1? If a HDD or PC/Mac , you'd notice a huge difference . This table gives you a quick and dirty on the differences.
