Another Fyne Deal from Mike - F502SPs are ordered

Turns out UPS is as whacked as the Distributor. I got tracking to say by 9pm Tuesday. Then I got a call last Friday to arrange delivery. When I called back all I got was a machine so I left a message. I tried calling all weekend and all day Monday and left several messages. Finally Tuesday morning someone answers but tells me I can't get them Tuesday because I never scheduled delivery, oh, and that they had no messages from me. So the woman tells me it will be Wednesday between 11-5, so I took the day off from work to play. At 10am yesterday I get a call from the same woman telling me she put the wrong date down and all the trucks were out for the day and I would not be getting my delivery. It is now planned for today between 11-5 and they have been sitting 15 minutes away since Sunday night.

It's really sad that so many people cannot handle the simplest of jobs. I wonder how most of them wipe their own butts sometimes.

Hopefully a better update tomorrow.

These shipping companies are a nightmare. A daily nightmare. Fingers crossed things work out today.

Sometimes you are get the option of having them held at the regional distribution station (local hub) for pick up.
I've found this is usually faster.
Hope they arrive soon and safe.

I dont have a vehicle to do that with, or enough strength to offload a 205lb skid by myself, but good idea for smaller packages.

The only delivery group that seems to have their ducks in a role, my opinion only, is Amazon Prime. Just yesterday I watched a big Prime truck ( 2 workers) with a hydraulic left gate deliver my neighbors French Door Refrigerator .

So i did a little checking, Amazon owns 60 big cargo planes, bigger than the national airlines of some developing countries. It runs 60,000 of its own delivery trucks, not counting the 100,000 now on order. And, perhaps most startling, it says it now delivers 60% of its packages through its own drivers., wow !

I just got them off the skid and hand trucked the cartons into my living room. Have to work til 3, then it's Play Time

Thanks again mike, confirmed the boxes say Walnut :)

Absolutely stunning finish on these. They used the same exact pc of veneer on the fronts as they have the same grain and knots. Packaging was great and protective. They also build these in sets, the Serial # is the same with A and B.

Spun Keb Mo More Than One Way home on a cold start. Man these have bass. I had to give up my Audiophile Card because I disengaged Line Straight and backed off the Bass on my Luxman.

Thanks everyone!

I only have about 8 hours on them so far but already can her the changes from just out of the box with the bass. The upper end is exactly what I was looking for and once the bass settles in and tightens up, they will be fully what I was looking for. I get the detailed and clear top I had with my Clearfields and the full Bass I get from my Dyns. Both my wife and I have already discussed hearing more detail and clear percussion that we have not heard before. It sure is odd getting used to the tweeter in the middle of the mid driver. It messes with your head when the grills are off. Nice how they hang on the back with magnets when you want. My Dyns did the same but with pegs and not magnets. Vocals seem to be the best aspect right now as each singer appears right there.

More to come as I get them broken in more but as of right now, they are killer speakers for the money and the Walnut is beautiful. Craftsmanship and build quality are more than expected at this price range.

I just noticed that they used the same veneer on all sides as in the next slice. The grain is identical on all sides of both speakers. Talk about a Matched Pair, I never imagined they would be like this.
