Devialet Phantom would work nice in that room.

I thought having my 5.1 HT, and 57" TV in an 11' X 12' room was tight. As long as the owner enjoys it, that is all that matters.

Any idea how does it sound in that room?
Did anyone tell him to upgrade his home first before upgrading his system?
If this is an apartment, is his neighbour happy with the music coming from next door?

Bluefox - Dude, that sounds like a kickin' HT experience. I agree though, the only thing that matters is the owners enjoyment.

Wow, I though my office 11x10x10 with a 5 foot pocket door opening was small, but that room is really small.

Like Clint would say, A man's got to know his limitations :D

The best speaker for such rooms to compete with some of the best sounding rooms is the Western Electric 16A replica with GIP drivers. It can be on the long wall, and it sounds same 2 feet away, 10 feet away, and off-axis. It was made to address an audience of 800 in cinemas and to also sound great for those sitting in the first row corners.

I recommended this to an audiophile buddy in London and he just bought it into his 4m * 3m room. It has no room problems right now, he is using cheaper drivers though so you won't get the GIP magic

It has the best tone and magic I have heard till 75hz. Below that, it needs to be crossed over to a sub.

He aspires to grow into his dream. He will get there well after the blisters heal but those boots will be gone for a slick shiny pair of new shoes.
