Amps for Raidho D3's

Mono 909mk5, then stereo 909mk5, then mono 911mk3's, then stereo 911mk3 :)
You are correct here - best sound of all of them are mono 909mk5 and then stereo.
I like the sound of 909mk5 stereo much better than mono 911mk3 - the very big transformer and better quality parts has something to do with that.

Thanks, Joe and Wizard! Great to know. Will keep that in mind if I ever get a chance to hear Burmester.

A preamp you should check out is the new NBS.

Not on their site yet, but it will have a built in phono stage and tone control.

Thanks Wizard. I heard their stuff last month. Very nice.

Why not ask Lars or Michael...think they could advise you;)

Congratulations with your D3,amazing speaker, heard the whole serie up in Pandrup from D1 and up to the C4.1 and with Anzus cabling all the way.

best luck...Jens.(im a little coloured in opinions Lars is my big bro..)2012-03-03 13.51.37.jpg upgraded my tweeter to the new pattern...nice

Welcome to the forum Raidomaniac!

Thank you for joining, Wow! Lars' brother? Amazing!

Did i miss something Mike? I see your avatar is the D'ags. Have you decided?

Not yet. I am off to New York, then Dallas, then Denver - all to hear the D3's on an assortment of amps - D'Agostino, Accuphase, Soulution 710, Absolare, Levinson, Rowland, Goldmund, ASI....and a few others.

Right now, I would probably do Audionet or Soulution or go D'Agostino monos with maybe a Pass XP30 or Dag Pre.

....so, no, I have no idea! I'm going to break the speakers in using my Classe, audition, audition, audition, then I will have a better idea.

Mike

Thanks Jens. Lars and Michael have been great. They have given me some great ideas. But let me ask you, what is your favorite amp for D3's? :)

I think your on the right path Mike. Going to hear all those amps , your going to find something that clicks for you. There is another store in NYC that has raidhos, and I'm not sure what they have in stock. But they might have them hooked to something different. Something else to hear can't hurt.

Singer has the Raidhos in the city along with me. He has a bunch of different amps. Mike you could contact him and run over to his place when you are here, he is only a few blocks from me. It would be good time utilization!

Andy has a great store, lot's of fun stuff, go visit!

You will see over time that I'm here as an audiophile, not as a dealer. Whatever is good for you guys, works for me, no sacred cows with me....promise....just fun for everyone.....life's way too short for anything else.
