ok so i picked up these speakers from joe today. first off thanks joe!!! your a great person
cornwall3's 102db/ 8 ohms.
first hour was a bit clouded then they started to settle in. since i took these pics i moved the other speakers out from the sides and widened them a bit. they were too close together. if i had more room i might even go wider, but its good for now.
these things are huge.lol. 15" woofers.
the sound is huge!!! loads of bass, great fluid highs, i can crank this on just 40% volume louder than my fabers at 75% volume. way louder. when i heard them first thing i did was take off the record and put on "the wall" and all afternoon i been playing rock and roll. all the records that i havent played in awhile went on today. all my test roecord will have to wait. 50 % volume is about as high as i can stand it. any louder my ears might bleed.
on the 90db fabers 15w with alot of volume was just asking too much out of them. and they would get a grain in the upper mids when i pushed too hard. these klipsch were as loud as i ever played anything ever, and all day long and not 1 thing wrong with the sound. i couldnt push them any louder and try to make them over extend the amps . i tried.
what a great speaker this is and a great value as well.
i am so happy to have these . i have not done the low volume or medium volume sessions yet, but i will. the fabers are glorious in that area.
if i had to compare , the fabers might eak out ahead on midrange clarity and vocals. but the rest on 15w amps has to go to the klipsch. wasnt sure id like these , but i do. they are staying, hope i never get a smaller house these might not fit.
over all very musical and dynamic speaker. lots of fun to listen to. i was like a kid all day. playing my 70's rock!!!
300b's and 102db what a great thing!!!!!
oh and as you can see the boxes com in handy to block the hallway.lmao!!!
oh and a pic of my sweet new avanti audio jumpers. they came out great !!! thanks mikech
