[h=1]INTUITION 01
THE STATE-OF-THE-ART
IN MUSIC PLAYBACK[/h]

Wadia has advanced its tradition of progressive technology and industrial design, to deliver a product with the utmost in performance and aesthetics while also being environmentally conscious. Intuition focuses on the digital inputs, with 192 kHz/24 bit resolution for Coax, optical and AES and 384 kHz/32 bit via USB. There are also two analog inputs. At the heart of the digital decoding is a high resolution, 32 bit AD/DA digital preamp with a 1.5 MHz sampling frequency. The 350 watt, high efficiency power amplifier is capable of driving any loudspeaker. Its design is proudly made in Italy.

• High power output and excellent current delivery
• High resolution USB input: 384 kHz/32 bit
• Native DSD playback via USB

The Intuition 01 utilizes an innovative implementation of Wadia's celebrated Digimaster algorithm, the Delta-SigMaster (the original Digimaster was a groundbreaking design created over two decades ago). Delta-SigMaster is a 1.536 MHz upsampling algorithm (FIR 1.200 taps) far superior to standard industry practices, as well as the previous Wadia Delta-Sigma implementation. The ESS 9018 SabreDAC provides the decoding horsepower delivering effortless musical performance. Technology, musicality and stunning design combined in a component destined to become an instant classic: Intuition by Wadia.

I think if you want compact size, amazing DAC, big powerful amp, etc. go for it. But I would only do it if you want to de-clutter your room. Class-D has a love/hate following.

You need to download the manual for it. Can you turn off the display for example?

The question is whether or not it competes with the Devialet.

The DAC is certainly not this unit's strong point - especially considering the history/legacy/reputation of Wadia.

A little birdie and I are trying to arrange a little something something, though. ;)

I have one and is a wonderful unit.
My friends and clients love the sound
moves my Canton with ease

Go for it !

The decision to use ESS chips is... questionable. I'm shocked they plunked one of those into a Wadia, let alone their new uber-pricey integrated. Hopefully they "massage" the hell out of it, but like I said, still working at getting it setup against the Dev.

Thanks E. I look forward to the shootout.

I totally agree E. On the other forum, I remember comparing different DAC's with different DAC chips and the ESS were my least favorite (and I was criticized by you know who for saying so).....ImageUploadedByTapatalk1373682569.731089.jpg

Cool name, but not the best sounding chip IMO.

That being said, we know a lot more goes into a building a great than just the chip and Oppo has been able to get a lot of mileage out of that chip.

That small piece competing with 100K+ system says a lot, right?

My system speakers cables cost more
than the Wadia

I was using plain speaker lamp cord
With the Wadia and the sound was
Very good
