Hi Larry,

I used to have an Allesandro Italian Greyhound Jazz Guitar Amp with Celestion Alnico Gold Speaker in matching mahogany cabinets. It was a beautiful looking and sounding jazz amp.

Best,
Ken

This was my second amp:

The beautifully styled JBL SA-600 amplifier was launched by the James B. Lansing company in 1966, and Bart Locanthi (the designer) wrote the technical article linked to at the bottom of this write-up in January 1967. I’ve included this in the hifisonix power amplifier library because it is one of the earliest – if not the earliest – example of a commercial amplifier that addressed the potential for TIM/SID and that of Large Signal Non-linearity (LSN).

The first was a Bogen monophonic tube amplifier.

Nice...another Bogner user! I no longer play electric guitar, but when I did, I had an Uberschall and two metal plated Mesa Rectifier cabs. It was freakin' mean and LOUD! (I play classical guitar these days.)

This is my latest badass amp...

... a Blackstar HT-1R, power output is 1W! But it is a tube amp and has a decent reverb.

I don’t think it’s particularly good, just wanted a tiny tube amp for the music room. I think the Vox in the summerhouse is better.

(Mesa stack is in the basement where I do have more room.)

Bigger boys’ stuff...

Btw, the 2 x 12” cabinet is loud.

I found a pic of my Bogner/Mesa rig. I have Korg tuner, TC Electronics G major effects unit, and a Belari tube exciter in my rack. (I used just one Mesa Rectifier cab for small gigs.)
