YG Sonja

I hopes it's ok to share this review. I lived with this outstanding loudspeaker from April though December 2013. I would consider it one of the top five loudspeakers in the world today.

Hi Peter,

great review, thanks for sharing and look forward to more.

What amps did you pair up and what was your preference and why?

I have heard several YG models and they do many things well but the extravertically high sweetspot was a deal breaker for me. I am only 5'6 and even elevating rear feet was not enough in my smallish room. I could not get far enough away. Why can't they angle down front edge of tweeter and midrange drivers. How did u compensate for this?

Great review thnx
Nick

Can you not tilt the speaker downward more? ...By raising the back feet some more (higher spikes, ...).
...And by lowering the front feet, to the very bare minimum (remove them).

Or! By getting a higher listening chair. . ..Or simply put a pillow on your actual one (a good thick pillow).

Thank you for sharing, Peter. After watching the Sonja review, I watched the Carmel review which I heard and enjoyed at the NYAS. Definitely agree with your review of them. Look forward to watching more.
