I just put in my order for a pair of Alexia's! I'm very excited. My dealer, Joe, put in the order for the build, and I have to get him a decision on color here pretty quick. Considering Dark Titanium or Argento Silver. Not sure about grill colors, but the slate gray look pretty good (at least online). Jeron is sending me color samples. What are everyone's thoughts about these colors?

@Debby - Can you or Jeron get a few photos of them being built? Sure would appreciate it.

Bryan

Congrats Bryan!!! Welcome to the Alexia club! Color is the toughest decision. Do you have any pictures of your room?

Be prepared for some late nights.....the Alexia's have that affect. ;)

Congrats, Bryan!! Well done! I have Dark Titanium and love it! It's a great neutral color that can fit in any room.

+1 on what Mike said, too! Plenty of late night listening sessions ahead!:audiophile:

Ah, new speakers, seems to be a popular thing of late, Congrats Bryan, my vote is Ferrari Red with white GT stripes.

Congrats Bryan,

Your dealers does not have the sample color kit ? Weird..
The slate gray is nice but the worst part is choosing the color
They all super nice

Good luck , you would not be disappointed

They are top A quality

Welcome to the club. I just got my Alexias last week, haven't even uncrated them. I went with Topaz, but not until I had received several color pucks and had wifey hold them in various lighting in what will be my music room. I really wanted the Porche Titanium Brown to work, but in faint light it just looked like dark titanium. Topaz was the better fit, and now that we have them we feel it was the right choice.

Wilson will send you a puck if your dealer doesn't have the color you are interested in. I got mine next day.

You have a little time before the color can't be changed, and you will live with your choice a long while, so take a little time. That said, they all look awesome!

If you are considering the Dark Titanium, have a look at that Porsche Titanium Brown Wilson offers. There's just a hint of brown in the best light, otherwise very close to the Dark Titanium. The photo has light from a lot of angles falling on the speakers, so you can see the color pretty well. In real life, with dim lighting, it is much more subtle. But very cool!

Thanks all for the input. I decided on Dark Titanium with Black Grills. Joe always asks Wilson to put in extra metal flake for his orders -- it's kind of his thing so I'm going along with it. I didn't want any brown tones to my speakers as my gear is all silver and black (along with my subs and center) so this will be a good match. I did think about the Argento Silver, but it's just too much. I'll probably regret it lol!! Either way, there are worse things in life to regret am I right?

If it's already been answered let me know, but just curious what current owners experienced in terms of break-in time?

Did I mention the color samples they send make awesome coasters ;) Thanks Jerron!

Bryan - great choice! Break in on the Alexia's is a cinch! Wilson breaks in the woofers prior to putting them into the cabinets (brilliant!). So, I found 100 hours and you're smooth sailing. But honestly, from hour one they sound great. The key is setup. I would suggest reading the manual just so you understand WASP and Propagation Delay (and the corresponding chart in the back). Some people like to blindly let their dealer do it. Me, I wanted to know what the heck is going on.

As always, any other questions you have.....ask away!

Congrats. We must have the same dealer (Joe). I like the extra metallic flake. My new Alexias, like my previous Sasha 2 & Sophia 3, are Carmon Red with the heavy metal flake. I rather like that color.

Joe's Sasha 1's in the store have some *really* heavy metal flake and look quite stunning.

I have a pair on order as well - upgrading from Sasha 2's.

@jax -- yes, sounds like you're the "other guy in Northern VA" that Joe is talking about. You didn't have those Sasha 2's very long did you? I thought about them, but when I heard them at Joe's I thought, why not just spend the difference on the Alexia's? That and Peter M helped that thought process along quite well with his advice at the time. Despite having the "same" tweeter, I personally think the Sasha2 and Alexia sound nothing alike.

I guess we don't live too far apart as Joe's trying to schedule the setup for both of us on the same day! We should compare notes sometime.

Oh, BTW, Joe passed on my request that Jerron and Debbie grab photos of our Alexias in production. He figured why not ask for both of us. Very good of Joe to have done so.
