Agnes Obel is one of my top ten favorite artists of the last decade. She has two sumptuous, lush, and gorgeous albums out. Buy them immediately if you don't have them.

BUT WAIT...David Lynch of all people has contributed some remix ideas and they are being incorporated into a new Deluxe release of the Aventine album. To be release Oct 7th.

Like her voice. That tune is surprisingly a little on the dark side if that is the same David Lynch I'm thinking of.
 
David Lynch is no stranger to music. Of course all those great, early soundtracks...were done with Angelo Badalamenti (and Julee Cruise).

He's also "worked" with Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse (Mark Linkous...R.I.P. :()

..and I believe Vic Chestnut as well. He's no musician, of course; but talk about a feel for "mood" and "atmosphere".
 
Picked up the second CD today and it's phenomenal.
If you're not in a rush, there is a limited edition of the second album coming as a vinyl +bonus cd release in Oct.
