Who is going to Axpona 2026?

The baby Clarisys room did sound very good - very cozy room that lowered your blood pressure.

The new M7s driven by the huge Piliums also were very impressive. But man, are they big! Went there a few times to finally hear music I could stand. Sunday was the best day by far. The Gentlemen tending the room on Sunday said you need a minimum 20’x 25’ room to give the M7s room to breath. I would agree. They could handle one of the big rooms downstairs.

The Pylon room was my last of the day on Saturday. I was totally impressed with how they projected a proper height to the singer's voice and instruments in the soundstage (singer was at about 5 feet), along with width and depth. A bargain at the price, and the gent running the room was very engaging and spun good music.
Thank you for visiting. I really enjoyed meeting so many folks who were discovering the brand for the first time. I know a few told me they didn’t cost enough for them to entertain….which I found amusing since people are always saying HiFi is getting too expensive. You can’t win. LOL.

we had a great show, many returning to the rooms for 2,3,4th listens which is always a good sign. an the new burmester 259 monos did not disappoint

Had a great time at Axpona 2026. Was so awesome to see everyone, always my highlight.

We had one of our dealers showing Clarisys and we had a room with Pylon, Perreaux and Pink Faun. The Clarisys piccolo Neo MK2’s sounded incredible.

I did get around to most of the rooms. My highlight was the new S7’s. They are THAT good. Yes, yes, yes!View attachment 35496

I was looking for you to put some posts on FB. I didn't go but like to share info on some of the audio pages I belong to.

You should have told them they are welcome to pay more, LOL

Both rooms sounded great. The smaller speakers were better scaled for the room size. They sounded great!

i bed they are amazing.

have you seen......lol.....the Porsche-edition?

Finally had a chance to sit and listen to this Arendal sound speakers than bombard my Facebook feed every day.

Let’s just say, I won’t be ordering a pair.

Eeek. BRIGHT!

I did not attend the show this year. I do however want to ask those that did what they made out of some very large and expensive items being displayed in hallways? I feel that many times the audio industry does not put its best foot forward and I feel you only get one chance to make a good first impression. is it all about the Benjamins? does sound count?
As show goer's what was your reaction ?

The prior year Goldmund had a set of powered speakers out in the hallway and they were excellent. Probably includes DSP.

I will speak to the Dutch & Dutch behemoths that were at the top of the escalators leading to the food court area. While a busy, crazy open area, they sounded great and showed themselves well in that environment. They could overpower even that open area.

The question is how big of a ‘normal’ room is required to get their best? That environment was nowhere close to normal.

I was surprised to see so many rooms using Aragon at the heart of some high quality systems, I seem to remember Aragon being one of the 'affordable' choices in their day.

When home theater was an interest with me I used the Aragon Stage One preamp processor with a Rotel 1095 five channel amp plus their 1090 stereo amp. The Aragon looked and sounded great and had all of the tweeks one could want for HT/Stereo. Every once in a while I'll check in on the Aragon/Acurus website just to see what is new. But, we all move on. Nice to see they are getting some new exposure.

Haven’t been to a show in years. I was wondering how they were doing these days.
Doing some checking, it looks like number of visitors is growing, but headphones, streaming, and car audio are attracting younger attendees.
Perhaps some attendees to this year’s event can confirm.

This was only the second year for car audio. Streaming and headphones have been shown for many years. I'm not sure myself on whether younger crowds have been showing up.

I've seen comments from both consumers and some reviewers who are happy about seeing more affordable brands being shown. I forget now who it was someone was showing a system that cost total of $900.00

The car audio are cars with systems in them. When I was there it was actually a contest. These aren't your average car stereos. I love car audio and can geek out just as much as a home system.

I do think that more couples are coming to shows. Not necessarily younger tho. It’s hard to tell.

When I went thru the car systems there were very few people looking at them. And the headphone area is no canjam but it was ok.

Axpona is a well run show but it’s gotten so big that it sorta reminds me of CES back 20 years ago. And honestly that is not a good thing. There are so many people that getting any quality time to talk to the manufacturer or listen to serious products you are interested in is hard.
