Hi Chaps

Got an old but perfectly serviceable Exposure 3010s2D with a Node 2i but some very old Mission 773 speakers

Room size 5.7 x 3.4

Budget £2K

Wife wants bookshelf speakers, Will have to do AV duties as well as I have an AV receiver.

What should be on my shortlist.

Go!

Monitor Audio offer a good value. I'd also consider Dynaudio or B&W. I'm a ATC fan but may push your budget. I'd want something more neutral and lively for both music and HT duty.

I am really enjoying my new Revival Audio Atalante 3 stand mounts, great price for the performance and could be a good match for your Exposure (they sure are for my Sugden). They are a new company out of France, US importer is Tone Imports. Just a pleased owner, no other stake!

If you liked the tone of those old missions... I want to recommend a pair of meridian 2 ways, but IDK if they offer any passives?

Just a note that US Importer doesn't apply because the Wiz is in the UK. Cheers.

For a second there, I was wondering why the OP was directing his question directly at me until I realized he said "Chaps"... LOL

As for speakers, you should take a good look at GR-Research. Huge bang for the buck, especially if you go for all of the crossover upgrades. Yes, they're in Texas, US, but they ship worldwide.

Kinda just the opposite of bookshelf, but I just got these Klipschorn’s and can’t wait to hear them. Just waiting for some Jantzen capacitors from Germany. Probably another 4 to 5 days!

Beautiful speakers, congratulations. I grew up listening to my Dad’s DIY walnut Klipschorns. Other than using a lighter speaker cloth, they looked just like that.

I previously had a tiny room (9.5’x14’) and have smaller speakers. Now I have a large room (17’x25’) and would consider trying K horns. If I do, I’ll hit you up for crossover tweaks.

My new room is almost photo ready, and I hope to post it soon.

Looking forward to your new room, my Khorns are from 1978, and look like they just came out of the Box. Absolutely mint. As you can see even the spam can capacitors are original. The other picture shows I’m halfway through updating the capacitors, only got half my order, the rest coming from Germany (soon I hope!). Can’t wait to finish and heat them!
