What's Your Favorite Cover song of All Time

The Tom Waits reference reminded me of one more cover I love:

Tom Waits cover of Downtown Train. Great coffee house music CD in general.

And I can't believe I forgot this cover. Heart doing Stairway to Heaven at a Led Zep tribute. Amazing performance!!

Joe Cocker's version of "With A Little Help From My Friends."

Some of my fav are gone so,

Jethro Tull - Locomotive Breath
Humble Pie - Thirty Days in Hole
Bob Segar - Turn the Page

Sorry did not read this properly before posting

The song Train Kept A Rollin by Tiny Bradshaw done by many artists recorded by Aerosmith lots of people recorded this one.

Re: Holly Cole and Carmen Gomes

I have many but of more recent origin I find the Carmen Gomes cover of Springsteens ''I'm on fire'' stunningly beautiful and the SQ is also outstanding.
Holly Cole's version of Tom Waits ''Temptation'' from 20 years ago is another favorite.

And these two lovely ladies both covered the Tom Waits song ''Train Song'' but both versions are unique and just goes to show that a good song can be interpreted in various ways;
