What was your best audio purchase of 2015? Was it a new favorite album? A new cable? A new turntable? A new DAC? What?

For me it's definitely my Avantgarde Duo Mezzo XD's. They are so dynamic, so musical, even sweet sounding, with no traditional horn colorations. Their capabilities to dial in the bass, crossover, etc. make them really sing beautifully in my room. I didn't think they would sound THIS good.

For me it has to be my Devialet 200.....my first real high end hifi purchase......well I think it is high end ;-)

To me , believe or not. It was get together with Mike in my room and listen to Westies and Shindo together that was a priceless moment. Also , at Ricks place with Allen , Mike ,Mark that was another best moment of my time.

As gear goes , going back to Harbeth and Lampi was my best purchase of 2015 so far but we have 6 more days to go so let's see what else might come in ;)

Paul, indeed! This was truly wonderful. Also loved hanging with you guys at Rick's place. Rick has one of those systems you can listen to for 10 hours straight and no fatigue.

I have 3 incredible additions to my system. First my ModWright Elyse DAc which replaced my ModWright Oppo 105. Then the upgraded Magnus MA-500 power supply for my MA-300, and lastly but just as important the addition of 4x8"subwoofers from the Venture Audio Reference Signature line. 2015 has been very kind to my audio system.

I think it must be my Calyx Femto DAC. It has breathed new life into my cd collection and I am now discovering hi res files. Now I'm saving my pennies for an Aurender music server, either X100L or N100H. Merry Christmas and happy new year!

Paul, definitely good times. We need to do it more often in 2016!

Mine would be the Zesto Andros 1.2 phono stage.

There were 3 key purchases that were absolutely transformational for me (late 2014 to 2015):

1) Magico S5s. It is difficult to listen to any other speaker now.:) I look forward to their new S series led by the amazing S7.
2) Kronos Sparta: have not played digital in my room since owning this table. Wow!:amazing:
3) Trinity Pre/Phono: You could not ask for a more perfect pairing with the Kronos TT. Quiet, quiet, and more quiet!

And as Paul says, meeting fellow Sharks either at RMAF or TAVES is definitely the highlight of 2015 for me!

That's easy:
McIntosh as Pre-Amp, Goldmund Amp, Teac DAC, Cambridge CD, KEF Speakers, REL Sub, (Wireworld, C3, Tributaries, McIntosh) Cables, Audeze Headphones.... what do you know, the whole darn thing :D....

Hopefully in mid January I will have my new Ref 6 preamp. I will be sending my Ref 5SE to its new owner soon.

For me it would have to be upgrade the Soulution 530 Integrated amp to the Soulution 725 pre and 711 Stereo Amp. The 530 was no slouch but the 700 series was a revelation. When I am there I get up at 5 in the morning so my wife doesn't think I'm spending too much time with the mistress!

Completing the Ansuz Diamond loom dropped another veil.

Besides my music and all my McIntosh Branded gear-- products that exceed the hype, and there is no shortage of hype and falsehoods in Audio.

I'd have to say Roon Labs Music software.
