What Vinyl Do You Have On The Table?

I don't have a turntable, but I still have my original double album record set of Star Wars: A New Hope with picture album from when I got it new as a kid in the 70's.

So what’s it like? Fresh and fabulous! Fantastic dynamics and punch.

I only have the vinyl box set.

i'm on the fence ...i really, really dislike the 2x45 format. getting up three times to flip/change the disc is just such a buzz kill.

to be honest, i would probably pay the same ridiculous amount for a "tone poet" equivalent release: 33rpm on regular vinyl, BG mastering, QRP/RTI pressing and stoughton tip-on jacket.

otoh, such a big steely dan fan that i may eventually succumb and get the UHQRs

The 45rpm format isn’t my fave either, but it sounds so good. Bass is jamming.

stumbled across a sealed copy of this 1986 OJC repress of this riverside title recorded in 1960 ...phenomenal music, recording quality and pressing.

Underrated INXS album. Michael still singing magnificently . Elegantly Wasted indeed. 25 years later to the day, RIP Michael. You are greatly missed.

Yes, it’s from a digital DSD file. Yes, it sounds great. Better than my original? Yes.
