What speaker have you never heard, but want to?

This is my pick :)

The Sonus Faber
Maggie 20.7's

A funnier topic would have been "which speaker have you heard, but wish you hadn't?"

Haha...classic. About 10 or so years ago at CES - Joly speakers...if you google Joly Steven Stone wrote about them.

Yikes. :disbelief:
Will those actually fit through doors, or is house surgery/on site construction required?
Heaven help the moving guys if those tickle Mikes fancy for the upstairs listening room...

cheers,

AJ

They are too ugly for me AJ.

Couldn't replace my gorgeous sounding/looking Strads with whatever those are. Nope. Not happening. Not in a million years.

Paul, those are the Living Voice- Vox Olympians no? Primarily Yacht speakers, I think. You need to be a billionaire to sport those. LoL

Here are the Proclaims:

While I was lucky enough to hear KeithR's wish (Apogee Scintilla), being an old Apogee fan (owned their Duetta Signatures for years), I never was able to hear their Grand's.

So, my serious picks for speakers I have not heard, but would like to:

Apogee Grand
MBL 101 X-Treme

And one not at all serious:

MoonAudio: Dark Star Opulence

IMHO their claims are the most over-the-top outrageous I have ever seen for an audio product. Oh, by the way, they only set you back $1,100,100 US per pair, but setup and installation is included.

MoonAudio Dark Star Opulence

Part of their description includes:
Each unit is hand-crafted using the world's best materials, parts and drivers and manufactured in the USA. The Opulence weighs over one ton due to an integrated internal vibrational control system derived from stealth fighters and tactical submarine technology.

The Opulence incorporates Dark Star, an optional second way of experiencing music which is independent of the drivers in the speaker itself and delivers music into the listeners brain, bypassing the ears. All other traditional speakers have produced sound which arrives at the brain through the ears. Dark Star is perceived as delivering music INSIDE the listeners brain and can be fully experienced with the ears completely plugged. This is the only speaker in the world with such technology.

The Opulence employs innovative magnetic control systems developed from nuclear reactor containment to structure internal magnetic fields in a way that is non-damaging to music reproduction. The designers of the Opulence have been involved in the ultra high end audio industry internationally for the past 25 years where they methodically crafted the crucial design elements integrated into the products design. Installation and set-up in the customers home anywhere in the world is included in the purchase price.

Verity Audio Montsalvat, they must be amazing if they have the house sound and betters the Lohengrin and Sarastro! Not even sure if they sold any. Anybody knows?

I would love to hear some Devore 0/96's with a good TT and all Shindo or Kondo electronics.
I wonder how close or different they sound from the Living Voice OBX-RW.

Reading a lot about these speakers, i feel that they share a kind of "same philosophy.."

Shindo's are outlaws in Europe!!

Best regards,

1. Raidho D5
2. Magico M Project
3. Sonus Faber Fenice
4. Sonus Faber Aida
5. Marten Coltrane Supreme 2
