What new gear and tweaks came to your home in 2017

It's not quite the end of 2017 yet. We still have eight days to go, so for some it is still anything goes. For me, 2017 brought plenty of upgrades to audio and video in my home during a year that saw me say last year that I was done. I have got to stop making that statement. In no particular order here is what came into my home during 2017.

>Six new batteries for my PurePower 2000 AC regenerator
>AcoustiMac acoustic art panel to cover my wide screen TV in the studio
>Stillpoints Ultra Mini's under my C1000 Controller and C1000P preamplifier
>Stillpoints Ultra SS in black under my two MC2301 power amplifiers
>Oppo BDP-105 for the studio
>Oppo UDP-203 for the living room
>Sony XBR49X900E 4K television for bedroom
>Sony XBR65x900E 4K television for living room
>Aurender N100H w/4TB hard drive for living room sound system
>Schiit Yggdrasil DAC for living room sound system

What audio and/or video upgrades and additions came to your home in 2017.

Shunyata Denali 2000 power conditioners, 2, one for each amp
Pass Labs XP-22 preamp (still waiting for UPS to deliver it)
Lots of music, and 4K UHD Blue Rays to go with my 2016 75” Sony Z9D and Oppo 203

Tentative 2018 purchase will be speaker and interconnect cable upgrades to new Shunyata Sigma series.

Only change was the addition of the Isoacoustics Gaia Speaker Isolation devices.

Otherwise quite happy and no change, nor desire for change in core components for quite some time.
 
I was thinking I may have made it through the year without any audio purchases, then I remembered I bought the Coda CSX as a back up amp and using it in my second system.

I'm putting the brakes on in 2018. I have said I'm done so many times I sound like a skipping record. I thought 2017 was going to be a year of no upgrades, but nearly $11K later I can see that was a failed attempt at tightening the belt. So I'm not going to say "I'm done" anymore. I'm not done. I don't think I will ever be done. There, I said it. . :snicker:

Next year will see me add Stillpoints Ultra Mini's under the new Schiit Yggdrasil DAC and the Aurender N100H Music server in the living room system. I may upgrade the wide screen TV in the studio to 4K but the jury is still out on that one. Other than that I may be able to hang on to some cash in this new year.......or not. . :rolleyes:
