What is your favorite piece of gear?

it's hard to choose between my amps and speakers, but if I have to choose i'd say that my favorite piece of gear is my Evolution Acoustics MM7 speakers . -4- approx 7 foot tall, 750 pound towers (3000 pounds of musical love). and they completely disappear sonically leaving only music. the main towers are 96db, 6 ohm efficient, so a very easy load for any amplifier, yet the bass towers are powered and fully room adjustable. with -3db at 7hz and -6db at 3hz, there is so much headroom on the deep bass that nothing ever causes any stress or strain. the most energetic music is child's play. and with a time and phase aligned 1st order crossover you have a totally seamless fully coherent speaker system. I cannot imagine anything I would change about them.

They are like children to me, I love them all evenly :) . If there were black sheep's I would say my ARC Ref 3 is not up to snuff and some Shunyata cables. If you forced me to name a favorite child then I would say my Vienna Acoustics The Music, they do everything well to my ears. Wait maybe my Aesthetix IO .... ah never mind!

That's a problem we'd all like to have! :) Gotta hear those big Darts one of these days!

For me it would be my Amadeus/EMT combo. I could see selling all of my other gear, but not these.

Sent from my HTC One.

my favorite piece of gear is the next amp, cartridge, speakers, etc i may own in the future. i'm not wedded or become emotional with gear, maybe there were times I regret selling something too soon but everything can and will be replaced. show me a specific piece of gear you think checks all the boxes and i can come up with 5 or 10 competing products that will perform just as well - or better - given the right circumstances.

The most fascinating piece I own would be the Studer A810 even though it gets the least amount of playtime. I need to buy some more software & some blank media, give it some deserved attention. I'm sure I could achieve some pretty satisfying results dubbing some of my high quality vinyl pressings too for when I'm not in a flipping & washing mood.

My favorite would be my Lamm M 1.2 reference...more than 10 years in the market and is still being produced until now...one of the few products that has received consistent praises from almost all the major publications and reviewers...a real classic!

My favorite would have to be my Bryston BDP-1. In the time that I have had it, every other component, cable, power cord etc., in my system, has been changed multiple times, but the BDP-1 remains a constant.

Mine would be my Clear Audio table Statement I have to love it to damm heavy to move. The Tri Planar arm and Atlas Lyra if you count it as a package. This big old table is a little slow on the start up but it is great to use and sounds better than any thing else I have heard. Dollars aside it is a good deal of fun to use and a joy to listen to.

I think Tables are the last thing you have a connection with changing records and all that goes with it . With the new world order of remotes you rarely touch a preamp any more . Maybe I just like Records not perfect just better I bought 22 today all next to perfect some guy brought them in to a local dealer. He said he had not played them in years brought them with him when he moved to Canada 30 years ago from England. Some days you just get lucky.

No favorite here, all my gear is crap:roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

Seriously, my fave is my McIntosh MC275VI. It is a truly magical amp:audiophile::audiophile:

It's a hard question. I am well satisfied with all my gear (except my center channel speaker). If I had to come up with a favorite, I'd have to choose more than one as each piece has it's merit. I'd have to say the standouts would be:
My Sansui 8080db receiver: Such warm tube-like sound from a solid state unit. It pairs so lovely with panel speakers.
My Paradigm Studio 100s: They are adaptive, revealing, very efficient and have a sound I like.
My turntables: both legacy units.

Very difficult question as I’m extremely happy with all of my gear but if I had to choose just one it would have to be my Martin Logan Summit X speakers. I have chosen my gear around the Summit Xs.

For me it's my modified Acoutat 1+1s i love ALL my gear BUT everything is for sale except the speakers they will leave my living room after i die.

Yes, the Bryston BDP's are a very special. Unreplaceable.

Cary SLP-05. It will be the last thing I replace. Berkeley USB Converter is a close second. It is like a major DAC upgrade.

For me, I'd have to say it was the Symposium Acoustics Rollerblock Jr's, and CRL Cabling Loom, as installing these into my system last where in fact the pieces that enhanced it, as well as pulled it all together.

In my mind some often overlook the importance of both isolation devices/platforms and cables, and view them as accessories, where I see/hear them as the final piece of the puzzle that either makes or breaks the system foundation as we know it.
