What are your best vinyls?

Sorry, I'm not familiar with Stockfish DMM process. I think DMM is different. I'm referring to the process where they skip the magnetic tape portion of recording. Since the original poster is into Jazz, one can check Analogue Production's D2D records. I can't claim to know how these sound as I am not into Jazz. Others might have more experience.

Yes, I guess you are right those are two different things.

According to my understanding, both are carving the the master plate during the recording process.

Yes, he sure did hit some rocks but accurate or not, the timeline was posted for the OP to glean info on d2d recordings is all. :)
