The past week I have been watching videos of Female artists from Japan that will blow you away. It started when I bumped into a video of Bassist Juna Serita. Then it morphed to all the different bands she plays with and has ended up with Guitarist Rie a.k.a. Suzaku. Not many people cover Lee Ritenour AND Jeff Beck. Also Doobie Brothers, Michael Jackson, TOTO, Chick Corea and more. Poke around and enjoy!

A 200 gram pressing of Harry Belafonte Sings the Blues. It was recorded in 1958 and it is such a great recording with detail, air, transparency and fabulous tone.

I like that this is finally being re-released. I have heard rumors about this album for year. I just recently got the new digital download (vinyl not out yet). It is quite good and shows the promise these two future stars had. But honestly, I expected a little bit more (a bit too much of Lindsey's guitar and not quite enough of Stevie's vocals in my view). Again, it is definitely worthwhile, especially for Fleetwood Mac fans.
