What are you listening to tonight ?

Denny Freeman, "Diggin' on Dylan". I used to listen to this guy play for tips in Austin. We have so much musical talent in this town. He played in the Bob Dylan band for four years and plays on the album "Modern Times". He's played with plenty of Austin blues bands over the years, as well as Otis Rush, Albert Collins, Buddy Guy, Jr. Wells, Jimmy Rogers, Eddie Taylor, Lazy Lester and many more. He played with Jimmie and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Stevie actually lived with him. Excellent guitarist, IMO.

Staying with the Austin guitarist theme, this is John Inmon, "Songs For Heavy Traffic". Considered one of Austin's best guitarists, this guy can play anything. I'd be typing for a while in order to list all the bands he's played with. His longest stints were with Omar and the Howlers and the Lost Gonzo Band (Jerry Jeff Walker). This is a relaxing album with some great playing.

I'll have to check him and Freeman out, I couldn't get my redneck license until I showed my Jerry Jeff, Up Against The Wall Redneck Mother's, album. I got bonus points for David Alan Cole, You Never Call Me By My Name :)

Ha ha, good one.
Be aware, these two albums are not like most of the music they do. This is for relaxing. There are plenty of youtube videos of them both, I believe.

Finishing up side one of my original 1972 pressing of Jethro Tull's, "Thick As A Brick". The album cover is ruined, due to taping, but the vinyl sounds as new.

This brings back memories. One of my favorite rock albums of my teenage years, despite the sq. Just a fantastic concert, excellent play on several tracks - still from today’s more picky perspective. Had to get it again.
