What are you listening to tonight ?

Over the years I have bought it a multiple times... original vinyl back in the day.... then CD... and now the Japanese SACD import... I have other Gentle Giant albums which are ok, but Octopus is a complete different level.... goes with the all time classics, Dark Side of the Moon, etc.

Checked it out today on Tidal. Quite interesting, thank you for the mention.

You are very welcome. I was very happy when I saw it available in SACD, although being an import it was quite expensive. But it is one of those albums that is very special to me.

Currently listening to Tsuyoshi Yamamoto, "Midnight Sugar", 45rpm, Impex reissue of three blind mice box set, of which "Blow Up" and "Misty" are the two other albums included. I believe this set to have the quietest vinyl background of any album I have. The sound is utterly fantastic in every regard. If you like this music and only have it on CD, run, don't walk to your phone or computer and order this box set. I should note that "Blow Up" is not a Yamamoto album, but is by bassist and cellist Isao Suzuki. Since I just got this box set yesterday and am just able to begin my listening, I haven't yet heard his music.
