Maria Joao Pires, Emmanuel Krivine, Chamber Orchestra of Europe - Chopin (DG CD)
An excellent recording. She has a wonderful lyrical style. Once you get used to it, others sound ham-fisted in comparison.

Queen: Sheer Heart Attack Quboz 44 kHz

Seems like an eternity ago. Coltrane still holds place in some of the best Jazz on the planet

If I remember correctly, this is SRV’s debut album. Nice and bluesy, a messenger of greater things to come.

Julian Lage: Love Hurts. Nice playing, with a departure from his cleaner sounding Tele to this slightly distorted Gretsch. I do have a semi-acoustic Gretsch as well, but have equipped it with heavy gauge flat-wound strings to use it as a Jazz Box.

Recorded in two days, pretty much as live takes.

For a long time I have been looking for a good copy of this vinyl. I really like Jamal’s playing, this performance is legendary.

Now I found a brand new DMM release copy.
