Still a smashing album: ZZ Top/ Tres Hombres.

There really is a huge difference between the early digital/ CD era mix and Manning's original 1973 mix used in this cut.

Which version do you think is better?

IMO, the band did something really stupid and went back to old albums and redone the drum tracks with a more electronic drum sound. I'm not sure how far they went. I can't tell you how much I hated that and those are the tracks our radio station played all the time. I heard after the success of Eliminator they wanted the old music to sound similar. If you couldn't tell I much prefer the original recordings with real drums. They've since put out a box set with all the original recordings. They are one of the bands who I think has everything they put out on Tidal.

Malia-Convergence.JPG

This album has been listed int he past, but not for quite a while. Worth a listen.

Malia/Boris Blank - Convergence

The Cars - Candy O, Tidal MQA 192 kHz

I liked it The Cars when they first came out, including this album, and have not picked them up in over 25 years.

I’m really diggin’ it, not the best in terms of audiophile recorded quality, but there’s much worse.

Cover art is not all that bad either [emoji851]

"Milt Hinton And Friends". One of, if not the last Ben Webster performance prior to his moving to Europe. Also contains Ben Webster playing piano, as well as sax.
