Talking with Randy on another thread reminded me I haven't listened to any Steppinwolf in a long time. I listened to this entire album, this is the title track and an epic song that didn't seem to get the attention it deserves.

My brother in law was the singer, pedal steel guitar player and acoustic guitar player (not all at the same time ) in a Texas swing band, when he was alive. He played country gigs near Navasota. Who doesn't like Texas swing? Ha ha.

back in the day, before austin was weird, i remember that in central texas all you could hear on the radio was texas swing and tejano. at night the AM stations would come in clear from all over the area... great stuff!

Melody Gardot - Currency of Man

I find Gardot one of the most inconsistent artists in my collection. This is a great album. Both "My One and Only Thrill" and "Worrisome Heart" are good. Then you have "The Absence" and "Live In Europe" both of which I find unlistenable.
