This is an excellent recording. George's voice has never sounded better and the amazing recording of the orchestra that is behind him is very well done.

Randy interesting I have that very album playing right now.

Nice... I listen to it again last night after getting the system in the cabinet and the speakers on stands. The HD version I found was DSD, so JRiver down samples it to 192 kHz for me to go through my McIntosh DAC. Sounds incredible.

I read a couple reviews of the high rez albums, and one stated that "the turn of a friendly card" may very well be the finest example of a HD recording available and the reviewer highly recommended this to show what capabilities your system has!

"Someday My Prince Will Come", Miles Davis Sextet. Analogue Productions, 45rpm.
here is a quote from the all music review, which sums it up nicely;
" The set opens with the title, a lilting waltz that nonetheless gets an original treatment here, despite having been recorded by Dave Brubeck. Kelly is in keen form, playing a bit sprightlier than the tempo would allow, and slips flourishes in the high register inside the melody for an "elfin" feel. Davis waxes light and lyrical with his Harmon mute, playing glissando throughout. Mobley plays a strictly journeyman solo, and then Coltrane blows the pack away with a solo so deep inside the harmony it sounds like it's coming from somewhere else. Mobley's real moment on the album is on the next track, "Old Folks," when he doesn't have Coltrane breathing down his neck.
