VPI Classic 3 new tonearm !!

I spent over $1000 on new vinyl yesterday (some rare stuff for Joe....shhhhh.....don't tell him) and some for me. Once I start shopping on Acoustic Sounds, I can't stop!

La La la la la. I can't hear you.

You're a vinyl whore !

:woot:

Yes he is and that's why we love him.

Lol Joe!!!! You got nothing to worry about. That jmw classic arm is plenty
Good.
And just think you have the ability to upgrade down the road now, if your
going to stick it out with vinyl.
And trust me being a vpi guy, they come out with new stuff a d upgrades all the time.
I bought a Aries with a jmw 10 arm and a week later the 10.5 came out.
Drop that kleos on that thing you'll never look back!!!

Thanks Steve. I appreciate the advice. As a matter of fact I am finding out if it's not too late to drop back to the walnut Classic 3 to save some money and put the up-charge towards the Lyra cart.

well Joe i took this pic to put in my preamp thread. to show the size of the thing. but you had to go mention walnut classic and i wanted to show you how much i like that idea. of course mine doesnt have that sweet bumped up pinth and ring clamp and centerweight and otf vta adjustment like your 3 will have. but i prefered the walnut over the black. ive had too many black tables in my life . there are so many options with the classic you can also save a bundle buying the 2 and adding the ringclamp and centerweight. i bet blindfolded there not much difference between the 2 and 3. ive heard the 1 and 3 side by side and they are remarkably close. desicions desicions. lol.

Cyril,

Ha!

I want what's below the TT. But here's what I am thinking. I could ALWAYS add the Direct Drive TT with the new tonearm (next year), IF I like to spin the vinyl.

I could be a TT hoe like Jeff W. :eyebrow:

Joe....Just heard there is a new "Momentum 2" D'Agostino preamp being released.....:ko:

Just kidding.

You think that's funny, I am already thinking about how to get the monoblocks. My D'Agostino stereo amp is freaking amazing. Everyone was right about it. It's a different kind of better than my Dartzeel gear but on my TAD CR-1's, outstanding.

Not ready to to give up the Dartzeel. It's way too good, even on the TADs.

Joe, are you really getting a turntable? Do you have any old LP's?

It's true. VPI Classic 3 in walnut w/ Lyra Kleos cart. The Dart has a MC input. I do have some old lp's but not sure what shape they are in. I bought some new ones and I've been given some by several members here. Amazing generosity on this site. I am excited.

Excellent stuff Joe.

For one thing, you won't have any weakness in your system with the Dart phono stage, it is supposed to be superb as is the Kleos. I had one for about 6 months while waiting for my Atlas.

Welcome to analog heaven!

Mike, I spend 300.00 on Music Direct and 300.00 on Acoustic , but the 10 % sell is not over. Want to share titles of what you got, I will share mine.
