Probably a horn of some type.
I have heard Gobel a few times. People I know rave over Von Schweikert. Curious what they hear in it. Are they similar. Or is Von Schweikert special in a way others are not.

well neither is a horn, VS have amplifiers to drive the low frequency, they are smaller( at least some of the them LOL), they are automotive finishes, they are American made.
Gobel is none of those.
In fact neither are like horns
Special? They are both excellent speakers from good companies.
Most speakers that are special in some way are usually some different technology which by itself means nothing .
