Venom 14 Digital Power Cords videos

Darryl now that we know who you really are, I believe you’ll hear a difference. Depending on timing we both see what it’ll do to your setup.

Sometimes forums can be the AA (Alcohol Anonymous ) side of Audio. We all are pattern driven and one of my patterns is never buy one thing when you can buy at least two things. I also ordered two sets of these with carpet spikes.

Hey Stephen, did you send this to yourself?

Ha! LOL.

Nope, but I peruse Shunyata's web site every couple of days because they have been having a succession of product releases one after another the last couple weeks. They have been hitting on all cylinders of late, since the launch of the NR-series of Venom power cords.

I use V14 with C7 power cords on my AppleTV and internet modem. Good stuff.

I ordered them in early June. V14 and V14 Digital any different?

Received the first of my two packages from "The Cable Company" today. A 1.75m Shunyata Venom NR V12 power cable. Shunyata does like to pack their cables in a cool case with lots of literature. Just hooked the cable to my VanEvers Model 85 Reference line conditioner. Too early to see and hear if it has any effect to my cable, modem, router etc. I could give a early impression. But, it may be I just want to hear and or see a difference.

It looks beautifull. Congratulations!

It's a Venom or a Delta? I thought the Venom series had molded barrels, and Delta and above were assembled with screws.

It is a Venom cable. I'm impressed the cable has a check list verified with a burn in on the cable.

My first impression that jumps out to me is the picture on my Panasonic 65VT60 plasma tv. The colors and image cleaned up considerably. Very impressive. The bad news is my local tv dealer left me a phone message saying the Samsung 65Q90R QLED set I've been interested in price dropped $700.00 from when I looked at it. I hate getting rid of the Panasonic. But, it's never going to be anything more than a 1080p set. A very very good 1080p set. Ugh!

I need to spend sometime today listening to Tidal and Qobuz. My second package is due to be delivered today or tomorrow. It has the Gaia II.

Brodric,
The Venom 14 Digital utilizes a "NR cylinder" at the plug end for fitting the digital NR filtering circuitry. It is different in this respect from a standard Venom 14, which, as you say, has molded plugs at both ends. Also, If you order a custom version with the NR filter at the AC plug end so that you can fit a molded C7 plug into a device, e.g., a Mac Mini, where the NR cylinder with a C7 plug doesn't fit when an Ethernet cable is also installed, then the NR cylinder will then be at the AC plug end.

However, It is recommended when possible, to use the standard configuration with the NR cylinder at the "business end" (component end) of the plug, as shown above in AndiK's photos. This will provide the best functionality with respect to protecting the overall power distribution system from noise coming "back out" from the component's power supply.

Hi Darrel,
Yes, this is exactly what I observed using a Venom 14 Digital on my Samsung HDTV as well.
