Joe and I will be going to a Vandersteen Demo this coming Saturday, Nov. 9 in Verona NJ. Anyone else going?

"Saturday, November 9th from 12 pm-3pm, Audio Connection (615 Bloomfield Ave, Verona), invites you to a seminar with Richard Vandersteen demonstrating the NEW M7/HPA Model Seven Hybrid Amplifier.

Come and experience this truly unique liquid cooled amplifier.

Please RSVP (973) 239-1799."

Bruce - Look forward to your comments. These were been played at RMAF a few weeks ago with ARC gear. Very nice! Enjoy the event.

Audio Connection are good guys. They have been long term Vandersteen fans, and for good reason. Have fun and please post back with impressions!

I am looking forward to hearing the Vandersteens……Hoping they sound as good as my memory of them.

I would be surprised if the Model 7 didn't make quite the impression on Joe. Especially based on Fremer and Harley's reviews.

I'll have to read the reviews after I hear the speakers. ;)

Since I've been a Vandersteen owner since 1998, I would love to hear them. John's the senior Vandersteen dealer and a real good guy. I'm in the process of buying a pair of crossovers from him now to use between the JOB and the Vandersteen subwoofers. None of the ones I had on hand were the right value. Before the Vandersteen's I owned a similarly voiced and designed speaker, the Snell Type A II's since new in 1980. I like the 1st order crossover sound.

Hi Bob,

Bruce and I were disappointed with the sound. I'm not sure what was the culprit and I eventually will try to hear them again for confirmation. The amps that were supposed to be demoed were not ready for prime time so Ayre VX-5 and the better preamp was used. Too much ambient noise and poor choice of music kind of ruined it.

It wasn't a Rhapsody demo. That's for sure.
