VAC hits a home run with these amps. My VAC Signature iQ200 monos were picked up today. VAC is local to me and I consider Brent and Kevin friends. Both are great guys. The recent interview with Kevin in TAS showed his brilliance.
Guys, these amps are a HOME RUN. At $14,000 for the stereo amp or $28,000 for the monos, these are as good as ANYTHING on the market for the same price or more. The stereo amp has a switch on the back to change to mono.
The amps employ the iQ auto biasing circuitry from the big Statement mono 450iQ's.
You can use almost ANY KT tube, including the new KT150's. VAC recommends the KT88, but admit other KT tubes can be used to suit user taste.
I have the new VAC sub-$10k preamp and sub-$10k phonostage on order. VAC is delivering what we've all been wanting - world class VAC performance at a price more can afford.
Experiencing a tube amp which always in perfect bias is something very special. Smooth, sweet and coherent.
These amps are a HOME RUN!!!
