VAC hits a home run with these amps. My VAC Signature iQ200 monos were picked up today. VAC is local to me and I consider Brent and Kevin friends. Both are great guys. The recent interview with Kevin in TAS showed his brilliance.

Guys, these amps are a HOME RUN. At $14,000 for the stereo amp or $28,000 for the monos, these are as good as ANYTHING on the market for the same price or more. The stereo amp has a switch on the back to change to mono.

The amps employ the iQ auto biasing circuitry from the big Statement mono 450iQ's.

You can use almost ANY KT tube, including the new KT150's. VAC recommends the KT88, but admit other KT tubes can be used to suit user taste.

I have the new VAC sub-$10k preamp and sub-$10k phonostage on order. VAC is delivering what we've all been wanting - world class VAC performance at a price more can afford.

Experiencing a tube amp which always in perfect bias is something very special. Smooth, sweet and coherent.

These amps are a HOME RUN!!!

Correct Joe. Conservatively I would say. These amps are ballsy! VAC sold out of their first production run. Wow!

Nice set up Mike! Love that the amps are flexible with tubes. Please share your tube rolling experiences as you play with various sets.

Beautiful Mike. They really look outstanding. A word to the wise (as an IQ amp owner) - the circuit can be a little finicky on sharp transients which cause the IQ circuit to kick in & essentially lock-out the input signal. For example, using a very highly modulated LP at a high gain setting on your phono stage can cause the circuit to kick out if you lift the cantilever too abruptly at track end . Only sometimes and with high current phono stages , so not a biggie. The circuit also only operates on the KT power tubes, not on the 6SN7GTB's . Congrats!

So gorgeous mike!! Would love to hear that setup when it's all together and been broken in. Bet that would sound amazing on a pair of Sopra's too!!

My wife and I were listening this morning. She said, "these little speakers, I like these. These are the best you've had down here. Keep these." She then goes on to add, "Brent's amps (she doesn't know Kevin) are the best you've had here too. Keep these too. I like these."

The system this morning is sounding absolutely incredible. I swear to God there is something special sonically going on with this iQ technology.

Jerry was over last night for a listen. Hopefully he will chime in.

Can you post a list of the equipment you've had in the downstairs system? I can remember most of them but I'm sure I'm forgetting some...

The gear and the speakers are expanding further and further into the room AND the wife approves...double win Mike!

I'm not sure I can remember them all:

Sonus Faber Guanari Evolution
Raidho D1
Raidho D3 mk1
Raidho D3 mk2
Tannoy Cantebury GR
Magico S5 (sold to Bud, he blew them up, Magico repaired them)
....ok....I've forgotten the rest....
