Well, I've been reading AudioShark from its inception, a two year lurker if you will. Having just celebrated a 2nd anniversary it seems AudioShark has developed some legs and grown into a fun place to share our audio addictions, so I decided to finally jump into the shark pool. I hope I can contribute in a positive way.

Welcome Double-D. You have "the" exclusive remote. Only VIAs (very important audiophiles) have that remote.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I am an older audiophile than many. I assembled my first decent sound system in 1967. From then until now I have owned so many different components and speakers I can barely remember them all. What I do remember is I enjoyed every one of the components, speakers, tape machines, turntables, and more. I was exposed to McIntosh very early and it has remained a common thread in one component type or another throughout many of my systems for nearly five decades. I see there are a lot of McIntosh fans here. I like that.

Welcome Double-D...tell us about your system(s) today...

Yup, lots of Mc fans here! I want another pair of 2301's BAD - but David (golucid) has bought up all the available inventory. [emoji14]

Welcome Double-D...tell us about your system(s) today...

This might seem excessive to some but I have four McIntosh based systems. I know, I lost control a long time ago.

My main system consists of a C1000C/P preamp, a pair of MC2301 power amps, a MR88 tuner, an Esoteric K-03 SACD/CD/DAC, an Olive 04HD music server, a Sonos Connect with digital output through a Wyred 4 Sound Remedy to the K-03, a Michell Gyro SE turntable with the Never Connected PSU, an SME 309 tonearm w/Ortofon Cadenza Black moving coil cartridge, a PS Audio Dectet, a PurePower 2000 AC regenerator with Furutech Flux 50, Sonus faber Amati Anniversario speakers, all connected with Wireworld Silver Electra power cords, Silver Eclipse interconnects, Silver Starlight digital coax, Super Nova fiber optic, Platinum USB and Silver Eclipse speaker cables. The gear is isolated on a combination of Symposium Rollerblock Jr's, and Stillpoint Mini's, the turntable is isolated on a solid maple Boos Block supported on Symposium Fat Padz. The room is fully treated with ATS acoustic panels and bass traps, and Vicoustic Wavewood panels.

Double-D....Dan if I'm not mistaken. There's only one system like that in the world I would surmise to say, known as "the studio system"... Many die hard McIntosh fans would know you well and your passion for this hobby.

I'm actually surprised and pleased to find you in the Shark Tank.

So welcome. Something good must have compelled you to swim into calm and friendly waters. It's a great place to be at. When it comes to McIntosh of past and present, undoubtably you are a leading expert.

I think the love of our hobby should transcend any commercial agenda or connotation and that's why I like being here.

I did enjoy our online conversations of the past and look forward to many more.

We welcome everyone with open arms.

Dan...that system is unmistakable :D welcome to AS

Dan... I was disappointed when you traded the MCD1100! But I forgive you because the Esoteric K-03 is a formidable replacement even though it doesn't quite match the rest of the Mac in the rack! :P
