my Technics SP10 mk3 got some new clothes. made by Acoustand in the UK - set up for 2 tonearms - have the SME to fit later.

interesting isolation springs........ Did you consider wall mounting ?


absolutely not. compression springs a treat for turntables of 45kgs and 65 kg's. works more effectively than SRA and Symposium platforms. Minus K platforms are also very good, however a lot more expensive.

do you feel there's an issue with wall mounting ? Great alternative to 'spongy' floors IMO

Not if you have spongy floors and a small footprint turntable with space issues. Even my LP12 sits on a 3 tier mana rack, which sounds better than a wall mount. I own 4 turntables, 2 of them with multiple arms and a concrete floor so don't suffer from free fall issues.

Even if I had spongy floor, wall mount would be totally impractical for myself.

the Thales / Lyra Atlas for sure. the SME/SPU is richer, warmer so great for 60's pop, Beatles, Stones etc and it does jazz well.

Hi, did you use Thales easy tonearm before?
I am asking because currently using slim II with easy tonearm, just wondering if there is big improvement
