Good question. I’ll have to do a comparison with a sound meter.
Really??
I am surprised by this! With all the amazing high end stuff you have, I'd thought your clientele was more Tiers 1 and 2...
I guess it is good news then!

I agree with Randy. Resale value might be a good way to gauge in what tier an amp fits.
Any expensive amp that loses 90% of its value on resale should not be in a top tier.
I certainly would not believe resale is the only criteria, but certainly one of them. Sound quality would of course be of major Importance. But I also assume all of these are pretty darn good [emoji16].
Ah...skewing with SQ. That’s another discussion. The general consensus is that Ferrari is top tier, but how many have owned one?
SQ is another topic. This is about perception and perception because of price. We COULD add perception because of reviews, but our members are too seasoned to fall for just any review.

Your answer begs the question as to what amps you put in the high quality category which aren’t necessarily perceived as “prestigious “?
So what tier would my PS Audio BHK 300 monoblocks fall under?
I would have thought Tier 3
No, it does not
What about conrad-johnson? I think it would be on the same tier with ARC
Everyone, please feel free to bargain your amp up the ladder [emoji3].
