Tidal has vanished from Lumin app

Mine is working ok. I'm listening to it right now - S1 with the latest firmware 7.03 and my iPad on 9.2.1.

Chris -

No issues thus far. A software .X.X release is typically used for bug fixes.

I thought I upgraded to the latest Lumin version 7.0.3, where my problems started. I discarded that version and downloaded the latest available from the App store. But I see that version is 6.0.1. What's up with that, I wonder?! Was I imagining 7.0.3?

I think I see now. The version of the app is 6.0.1, but the Firmware is 7.03

If Tidal/Qobuz icons disappear from the app, please go into the app, logout and disable Tidal/Qobuz, then enable it and re-login.

I don't see where there is an option to log out of Tidal. Would Tidal have to appear on the app in order to log out of it? Thanks

If Tidal/Qobuz icons disappear from the app, please go into the app, logout and disable Tidal/Qobuz, then enable it and re-login.

If it still does not work, power cycle the Lumin.

If it still does not work, please uninstall the app and reinstall it again, and re-do the login(s).

If Volume Control does not work, please go into Settings -> Options under LUMIN -> turn Volume Control Off then On.

If all the above have been done and it still fails, please perform a reset as follows (note that the current playlist stored in the Lumin instead of the app will be cleared, and all settings will be reset):
- Power off the Lumin via the Lumin power supply button (not the app).
- Disconnect all USB devices from Lumin, if any.
- Find something to press and hold the reset button at the back of Lumin.
- While still holding the reset button, power on the Lumin and keep holding the reset button until the front panel shows some small text about factory reset. Then you can release the reset button.
- After the Lumin is booted up, re-login Tidal/Qobuz.

[Edited]

Thanks, the factory reset took care of it.

I was able to just power down the Lumin, gave it a minute and upon restarting all was back to normal. All good again!

Wklie,

Tidal is still not functioning on all cylinders on the Lumin app

- No Time Circle

- Only first track of playlist shows (but all the tracks are playing in correct sequence)

- No pause function

- Trash icon not functioning. Only way to trash playlist is the Delete slider

- No info on file type, bit depth, khz, etc

Any ideas?

Thanks

All working again, after another restart. Sorry for all the drama -- but this app has always been very unstable for me...

Wouldn't it be a thought that after a major software/firmware update from one of these services, especially Apple or Lumin that you power down and then restart in order just like what Microsoft forces you to do after a major update. Seems like it would prevent a lot of this. Also seems that Ios 9 is not really playing nice with a number of other services.

It would be nice if all it took was one restart or factory restart, but after a couple of dozen restarts, log ins, and one factory restart, the app continues to go wonky. In just the last 10 minutes, after I optimistically thought all was well, the time circle went out again...

Its odd that some of us have no problems and others have a whole bunch of weird stuff. I guess its how we use our devices. All I do is stream from tidal and from my NAS. Nothing personal offense to anyone, just an observation .

Reboot your iOS devices.

If it still fails, power cycle your WiFi router. If you have other network switches or access points in the network, power cycle them _all_.

If the Lumin app is still abnormal and if you have not uninstalled/reinstalled it previously, please uninstall the Lumin app, then re-install it.

What I was suggesting is what wklie is referring to. Power down and restart the whole operation in order, not just the device with the new software. It appears that with these major updates the whole system needs to be re-set. I guess this is just something those of us from the Windows world take for granted.

New problem: The L1 server music library is not showing on the app. I have rebooted everything more than once, including
factoring resetting the Lumin player twice and trashing and reloading the Lumin app. I've also on/offed every button related to the L1. Please help! I can' imagine what's going on...
