There is no solid state gear that can touch good tube gear for musicality ....

Which reminds me: Joe, do you have a turntable yet? Now that you have the tube gear you have to get a turntable if you don't already have one! Turntables go with tube gear like fish go with water.

Yes I do but it's not quite set up yet. Another few weeks and I'll be good to go.

Joe
Welcome to the dark side. Enjoy the CJ gear as I know you will:audiophile::audiophile::audiophile:

Joe
Isn't it nice to sit back, enjoy music and look at all of those wonderful tubes glowing in the dark:heart::heart:

PS: Don't worry about the heat in the summertime, just have a towel handy to wipe the sweat off your brow:rolleyes::rolleyes:

GM70 amplifiers goes beyond of what we're use to experience with so called Japanese tube sound. These are the 21th wisdoms following the path of 20th century. It doesn't mean, that your not able to get that famous 'mellow' sound Kondo was talking about in his essays. It's there if needed, but it doesn't stop still down there.

I am a SS amp guy, but this is interesting for tube lovers.

Having an additional air conditioner installed would be cheaper. :)

True, but not totally feasible in my current circumstance. I am not Mike :) Ha!

Norman,

Thank you so much. I'll read the review. I have not ruled out SS, I am just having a blast right now with those little bottles of magic. My Dartzeel is a prime example of SS done right!

One word: Gryphon. Three words...I am biased! ;)

I sure haven't listened to all the SS amps under the sun but I agree with Joe. Tubes rule! :exciting:

Whenever I get off the beaten path and try SS due to some fluff that's works it's way around in my head, it doesn't take long to realize how stupid I've been and get back into tubes.

How true! My current journey is quite foreign (and not overly fun). Maybe I should revisit VAC, VTL. :)

I do love the tube sounds however I still think they do have their own pros / cons.

Best of both world is own both :D
