The The Vinyl?

Hey guys,

I have always loved the music of The The and hope some here at AS do as well.

Are you aware of any special pressings/labels in their library that should be sought after for their "better" sonic qualities? I love the various CD versions of Dusk, Infected, Mind Bomb, Soul Mining and Hanky Panky, but the two LP's I own of Infected and Soul Mining are really anemic in weight, extension, etc. I don't have the label info in front of me for those records as I buried them a while back after being disappointed in them.

I'd love to find out that there are some outstanding LP recordings that I'm missing. Am I?

Looks like the box set was cut from the digital files, but remastered.

I would jump on that if I can confirm that first pressings are better than what I've got here. I can go dig up the label and see but I believe it's also Epic.

Do not buy this. It's rolled off and boring compared to original UK and even an Aussie pressing.

Outside of Soul Mining, I have all uk original pressings. These are the ones to track down, and they are worth it.
Mind Bomb is reference sound quality as well.
