Often in our busy lives, we don't get a chance to stop and reflect. Tonight I was thinking about the year. I cannot believe we are going to soon be ringing in 2018. Family will be flying in for Christmas in less than 2 weeks at my place (I love my relatives, so it's all good). I cannot believe how busy 2017 has been for me personally.

I just wanted to take a moment and thank all 9,623 members. You guys and gals are what make Audioshark so great. It's you. YOU! Your posts. Your comments. Your ideas. Your discussions are what make everything so great.

Frankly, unlike some other forums, we all seem to get along for the most part and I really think this group understands that there are no winners and losers in high end audio - honestly, it's all good sh!t! We can respect each others preferences without getting into a whole big pissing contest. It's ok that one person like X and another likes Y and a third prefers Z. I think we have a great group of subjective audiophiles. We will let the others argue over which product measures best (but still sounds like crap). Our members tend to have real systems and real experiences. I've learned a lot too!

It's hard to believe we are closing in on 10,000 REAL members. Frankly, there is no way I could do this without all of you, and especially, Joe. You guys don't see what goes on behind the scenes. Joe does yeoman work with things. If you could all get to know Joe one day, he's even nicer in person. Mark has also helped quite a bit in some sticky situations - rare, but it happens. I'm trying to encourage Mark to post more (you have no idea how well read he is)....but he's just so busy.

If I have one request, it would be this: With 9,623 members, I want all of you to think outside the box. Think of interesting topics for discussion. Start new threads. I know many of you and you're brilliant, successful and experienced. I would ask that in 2018, you all try to come up with interesting topics - even if it's not about audio!

Last but not least, I appreciate all of you being here and contributing as you do. As birds of a feather, we definitely stick together.

Thank you again from the bottom of my heart and let's make 2018 even better at Audioshark.

Mike

Wow Mike. That was beautifully done. Thank you so much for the recognition. I appreciate the acknowledgment.

Everyone here makes it really fun and interesting. I know I’ve learned a lot and had fun doing it. I appreciate your trust and more importantly, your friendship. Time flies by when you are having fun and it goes by in the blink of an eye here.

Thank you, everyone.

A big thanks thanks to Mike and Joe for building this like-minded (= enjoying good audio) and luckily diverse (= different tastes, varying preferences, big and small budgets) community.

Some say life’s too short to drink bad wine. I say evenings are too precious to listen to bad audio.

Thanks Mike, Joe & the team - this is a great forum and a great place to spend the free time!

Thanks Mike & Joe!

This is a great audio forum and over time I found myself spending more time on here.
The member contributions on here are absolutely top notch.

Thanks for maintaining this fantastic online community.

Regards.

Well said! AS is a great community. I remember when Mike was thinking about starting the site a few years back. Well Mike, you did it!

Indeed, a special appreciation to Joe and Mark for their support.

Keep it going Mike!

Wow Mike...some really nice, heartfelt comments.

I knew when I found this new forum four years ago that it was a great place with some very fine people.

Congratulations on such a great forum. And also on the success of Suncoast Audio!

This is the best Audio Community I have come across and I plug this place on other sites regularly. I have learned so much hanging out here as well as have the chance to interact with so many knowledgeable people with real world experiences about the topics and gear discussed.

Thanks for creating the place for all this to happen in such a polite and friendly atmosphere.

May 2018 bring us good health and Musical Fulfillment!

I big thank you to the Audioshark team and all of its users. I've been apart of a lot of forums but the key with this forum is the simple thing called respect. :congrats:

Thanks to Mike for being our "Fearless Leader". His vision was to have a forum for all!

Joe has to be the backbone of the forum, doing many, many things behind the scenes to keep everything rolling smoothly!!

A couple of amazing individuals!!!!

Thank you so much Mike , Joe and the rest of the team. I also really appreciate this forum with so many great people... and all seems to get along very well just as you stated. So Thank you Mike and Team for making it possible with this Forum.
Wishing all here a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. :)

I joined this year, and quite happy I did. I am looking forward to 2018 and helping in whatever way possible!

More forum interaction the better. Outside of the forums, I have not come across anyone with this same interest and my friends don’t share the passion let alone would be in disbelief on costs on some of this stuff, however, do like listening.

Anyway Merry Christmas a Happy New Year! [emoji323]

Well put, Mike. I appreciate all the work you and Joe do to support the site. Here’s to continued success in the future.

Mike.......Your audio dream has blossomed quite nicely, both here on AudioShark and with Suncoast Audio. Your contributions to helping all of us enjoy high-end audio and share our experiences is noble, generous, and rewarding for everyone here. Many thanks for sharing with us all that you have provided. Here's to ever growing success in the future.

Thanks guys. I've only been here a couple of days...but one of the reasons I joined this group is because people aren’t fighting and arguing...that gets really stressful. I’m in this hobby to relax and enjoy music...seems like a like minded bunch of folks. Thanks again.
