Tariff implications.........

As they already have many many times. I have asked you before, and I ask you once again, do not ever mention me or address any of your snarky replies or insult toward me again. If you cannot do this than maybe it is finally time to ban you once and for all.

I've never been banned on AS or any other audio forum. Are you in the decision loop for banning people on AS or are you assuming power you don't have?

But the Japanese automaker’s Canadian division will slash US imports to just 10 percent by the 2026 model year, representing thousands of cars and millions of dollars lost.

The biggest impact will be on the American-built Outback. The popular car will no longer ship north after 2026.

Instead, it will feature a 'made in Japan' badge.

Subaru Canada's CEO, Tomohiro Kubota, said the move will 'minimize the impact of the counter surtax,' according to Automotive News Canada.

For Subaru, it’s cheaper to build and ship cars out of Japan than deal with the political whiplash of US trade policy.

As the story develops….

Not expecting any sympathy obviously, but some manufacturers are not raising MSRP but instead making the dealers eat the tariff. So they’re taking on a tariff tax to the dealers cost.

Everyone has different rules and we literally have to keep a spreadsheet on a shared drive for all of us to keep track internally.

Hopefully the current situation won't last long.

No one claimed to have power. I only stated an opinion because for a very long time, when there is an issue in this forum it seems to revolve around you and your snarky comments. Your ability to never let an issue die is monumental... I will not reply to you and your posts in this thread again. bye bye now

His son in law can no longer stand him. Wife can't either, and she refuses to spend any time near him. I believe his daughter has also turned against him. None wanted anything to do with his running again. The only reason he did was because it was the only way he could avoid going to jail. Again, do a minimal amount of research and it is apparent that this is all true.
Did you read that in People magazine or hear it on MSNBC or was it on the ‘internet’?

How could anyone possibly know what is going on inside a family like the Trumps?

MSM. Polly want a cracker?

As a consumer- have prices in general on audio already gone up or are they waiting till the tariffs go into effect for that particular country?

From the headlines- most tariffs got a 90 day moratorium. Is that reality - I have no clue.

Or is it so varied that there is no way to say?

Mostly stayed the same.

Hopefully 'you're taking notes' and when the dust settles you will have a bargaining chip or two. As for those manufacturers with short memory, adios amigos, plenty more fish in the pond !

The moratorium is for the reciprocal tariffs. The 10% tariff for every country is already in place.

IMHO this is an inaccurate representation; I think you and several others (perhaps including me) are at least as guilty as you claim @mep is. FWIW I agree with most of what you have said in your posts; not the various ad hominem attacks (Trump is abhorrent, but discussing that doesn't really belong here; discuss the actions, not the person?)

Don't you have Costco in Florida? It has jeans ranging in price from about $14-15 (on sale) and up.
Good call as they are not made in China.

Costco jeans, specifically those under the Kirkland Signature brand, are made in several different countries. Some are manufactured in Madagascar, while others are made in Cambodia. Additionally, some styles are produced in Jordan

Anybody on this forum who didn't think this thread was destined to be a train wreck rode the little yellow bus to school everyday.
