StillPoint Ultra 5's

Stillpoint Ultra SS are the best of a number of vibration devices I've tried over the years. Got them under all components and speakers.

Curious about the Ultra 5's for speakers, but not sure I want to pony up right now. Maybe someday...
 
If the Ultra SS sound good in a situation then the Ultra 5s will sound better. But they are very very expensive where the Ultra SS are only expensive. :)

I have some of the Ultra 5s but mostly have the Ultra SSs.

I agree. I tried the Ultra SS and they were good but after hearing the same equipment with the Ultra 5s, I concluded that the extra $$ would be money well spent. The Ultra 5s are fantastic. Stillpoints makes a lot of adapters now so you can screw your Stillpoints in to whatever equipment you're using them with. I have Ultra 5s under 2 Shunyata Typons and recently got the adapters for them. Cleaner and more efficient then just sliding them under the box. They do amazing things for the Typhon!

I wouldn't just assume they work everywhere though, I tried Ultra 5s under my SME 30/12 and they turned the sound to mud, couldn't get them out fast enough.
 
Really, Ultra 5s under a Typhon make a difference? I have Ultra SS under my Typhons and they made a difference over the standard, but Ultra 5s - Really? I mean the power doesn't even go through the Typhon let alone the signal path. Voodoo!!!!!! I thought I was going bonkers when I put the SS under them.

I hear you but I tried the Typhons with the Shunyata spikes, Black Diamond Racing isolation and Ultra 5s. You can immediately hear the difference and when I say difference I mean improvement when the Ultra 5s are installed. Weight, detail, separation of players on stage, bass, everything is improved. I couldn't believe it myself. I probably wouldn't have tried the experiment except I had 8 Ultra 5s lying around after I installed a HRS MXR rack and didn't feel I needed the Ultra 5s under the Pass preamp and phono amp any longer. It's an expensive proposition placing 8 Ultra 5s under 2 Typhons but it really makes a difference. Don't try it if you're not ready to lay out the cash.
 
I have 8 Ultra 5s, so I'll give them a try instead of the Utra SS.

Do yourself a favor and get the inserts. Screw them in and when they tighten, back it off a half to a full turn. That helps too.
Stillpoints knows which adapter to send once you tell them what they're for.
 
This is the path for Stillpoints Heaven:
1-Speakers
2-Amps
3-Power conditioner = PC
4-sources

And Yes they do Miracles on the PC, even using the Ultra minis you hear a difference

Not going to waste my time , the ultra 5 is no joke.
Stillpoints made the GOD of Voodoo .
Please don't try them if you don't want to leave with a big hole in your pocket. Insane addictive , you will want more more

Thanks. Good to know Nelson. however spend the $ 700 X 4 to $ 5000 cd player is little crazy though. lol.
