Anyone here use Steve Blinn's racks?

I like the fact that each shelf can be independently adjusted as needed, not to mention the butcher-block shelves seem first rate.

What have your experiences been with the Blinn racks? Care to share pictures?

Thanks.

Hi Mike - I do . They're OK but not great . What he's doing is using off-the-shelf components from a company that makes aluminium extrusions for office/warehouse/industrial use , including their fitting components . Then he adds maple shelves . It's all very low-tech and you can buy the components directly from any stocking supplier , the name eludes me but give me a couple of days & I'll be able to dig it out. Not super rigid , can sway a little bit and there's definitely give in the fittings no matter how tightly you tamp it down. You'll still need to shell out for whatever flavour of isolation devices you prefer (Stillpoints, etc) . BTW, set-up can be a bitch since you have to manoeuvre all pieces to be perfectly level front-back and side-to-side at the same time as you're tightening the wrench so if hyper-level is important to you (i.e. you have a turntable) - it can tricky unless you're using adjustable feet .
