Stereophile, etc Acquired

LOL. Funny how the intolerant can't handle it when people stand up to their intolerance and hypocrisy, yet are usually the first one to cast aspersions on others claiming the others are full of hate and intolerance and phobia's.

I guess what's good for the goose really isn't good for the gander.
You beat me to it.

And these intolerant and hateful types never cease to amaze me with their cultist self-delusions codifying each other in their pathetic echo chamber

Highlighted and known? Wow the paranoia and phobia is strong.

And it's not sarcasm, It's utter contempt. That's your right. Just be honest about your Religion-phobia about those deplorables who dare to have Faith in their life.

Next you'll want them to identify with a Cross sown on their chest....

That's why I left the West coast and came to Texas - I needed to be around more tolerant and inclusive people.
Is there no moderator on this forum who can prescribe religious argument and religious dispersions? Faith and politics should be kept out of this place.

But since there apparently lis not, I should say that I was joking when I suggest Michaels HiFi's "problem" might be blamed on Texas. But apparently if Texas isn't the cause of his problem, it is obviously a symptom.

It's all good. I respect your thoughts and viewpoints even if I disagree with them.

And I agree with you - Darrel being triggered by the mere thought of religion was sad indeed. Too bad he had to bring his fear and disdain for religion into this thread.

I have a faith although I'm far from an impeccable practitioner. I have political views and most of us do. Neither has any place at all in an audio forum, for God's sake (see what I did there). Because even though there are countless outlets for those who feel compelled to share their view of the world and beyond, every single time this stuff is injected into an audio forum it goes very badly and reduces what a forum like this should be. Its an iron law. But it continues.

I’m the owner and moderator, but unlike other forums, I’m prepared to allow respectful discourse and discussion. Keep it civil and everything is fine.

Texas is not the problem….Ameicas evil top hat? Nope.

Mike, I appreciate all that you do for all on this forum.

But, there seems recently that some members push a political or religious purity test on other. I don't understand what they expect to get from their attacks. But, for a audio forum it seems displaced and disrespectful.

Fair enough. I hope everyone will just stick to audio.

Easy - don't bring up religion like you did. You brought it up. You did. No one else did except to respond to you.

You bring it up then whine and cry when people respond. Hmmmmm.......

Look in the mirror pal. It seems YOU are the only one here who had an issue with the supposed purchase of Stereophile by a religious media company. What is this major malfunction with people on the left that they are the ones guilty of what they claim those of us on the right are?????????

See what I mean?

Respectfully you are blaming the wrong people. Don't be upset people called Darrel out for his post.

You should blame the person who started it and is upset he wasn't able to post unchallenged and then whined people had the nerve...the NERVE to actually respond to him.

It's pretty simple: Darrel needs to keep his religious views to himself when we were talking about STEREOPHILE and none of this would have been posted.

Instead of apologizing for starting all this, Darrel is trying to play the victim.

I’m not blaming anyone thats not my place and its not my forum.

Getting it back on track, positive thoughts and prayers for much success at Stereophile and the other related companies going forward.

I'll join you in those prayers in hopes all will go positive for them.

And also the hateful and intolerant will come to see the error of their ways and discover peace in their heart rather than be consumed with hate as they are.

Michael, I don't always know what motivates people, and I really can't always glean their worldview from a sentence or two. So what I propose is that we are all tolerant of everybody else - even the intolerant ones, if that's how we perceive them.

And like Mike requested, let's just stick to audio.

I agree and I accept everyone even if they don't have faith, so long as they accept those who do. Merely mentioning it does not cross a line. Tolerance is a two way street.

Oh, and I have new tubes and tube gear here to get back on track :)
